Windows 7 auf dem Unimall Convertible Classmate PC

Nachdem meine ersten Versuche, den Convertible Classmate PC von Unimall mit Windows 7 auszustatten an der noch mangelnden Treibersituation gescheitert war, wurden heute auf der Seite http://dtm-systems.de/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=31&category_id=10&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=100 die Treiber veröffentlicht.

Darauf hab ich lange gewartet, also sofort drauf damit!
Da ich Windows 7 über das MSDN-AA-Programm meiner Uni bekomme, hab ich mir fix das Image heruntergeladen. Ich hab das Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool genutzt, um das Betriebssystem von meinem USB-Stick zu installieren, was problemlos verlief. Die Installation war nicht die schnellste, aber nach ca. 1 Stunde war Windows 7 auf meinem Classmate. Festplattenplatz war noch 7,88GB von 15,1GB verfügbar (100MB wurden während der Installation für Systemdateien geblockt).

Ich habe dann die Treiber für Chipsatz, VGA und TouchDisplay installiert, zusätzlich noch die Intel Learning Series Device Control Package (DCP) und den On Screen Indicator (OCP) und was soll ich sagen. Das System ist deutlich schneller als mit der Windows XP Tablet PC Edition, die ich vorher installiert hatte.
Auch die automatische Rotation des Displays funktioniert wunderbar. So hatte ich mir das vorgestellt!

One more question: did you installed Windows 7 x86 or x64?

Hi Anton,
1) I got the drivers from the link that is given my post. You can also get the files from ctl-website as mentioned in Tinos post. I have to admit, I really dont know what the two packages are ;-)
2) I have my copy of Win7 from MSDN-AA and its the Professional Edition.
3) I bought it with the Linux distribution but I switched to XP very quick because I didnt like it. I tried theRC of Win7 but that one didnt work.
4) Yes, it automatically switches from landscape mode into portrait mo

Win7-Treiber und Win7-Software gibt es auch direkt beim Hersteller unter ftp://ftp.ctlcorp.com/PUBLIC/NOTEBOOKS/N etbooks/NL1/

Sorry, for writing in English -- my German is really poor.
First of all I thank you for that report.

I have several questions:
1) What's the Intel Learning Series Device Control Package (DCP) and On Screen Indicator (OCP) -- where did you get those?
2) Which version of W7 have you installed?
3) Did you buy the your classmate pc with an operating system?
4) What do you mean saying that roatation works great? Does it automatically switches from landscape into portrait mode?
